Add “ALC/Eijiro” English-Japanese Dicionary Search to your Firefox Search Bar

If you use Firefox and want to add an ALC English-Japanese dictionary search feature(Eijiro on the WEB) to your Search Bar, here’s an add-on file.
Download: alc.xml
Right-click on the link above(alc.xml) and save it as a new file. Move it to your Firefox ’searchplugins’ folder. Restart your Firefox to activate the add-on.
Here’s a screen capture:
If you can’t spot where the ’searchplugins’ folder is, seach it from Start Menu(Windows) or Spotlight(Mac).
You may find it
- For Windows users: “C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins”
- For Mac users: “/Users/myname/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Firefox/Profiles/myprofile/searchplugins”

ALC英辞郎をFirefox検索バーに追加

ダウンロード：alc.xml
このalc.xmlを右クリックして新規ファイルに保存します。それを searchplugins というフォルダにおいてください。Firefoxを再起動すれば有効になります。
こんな感じになります。画面キャプチャ：
’searchplugins’フォルダの場所が分からなければ、Windowsなら「スタートメニュー」から、MacならSpotlightで検索してみてください。おそらく、次の場所にあります。
- Windowsなら “C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins”
- Macなら”/Users/myname/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Firefox/Profiles/myprofile/searchplugins”
